IT’S ALMOST TIME! In two and a half weeks will be our ALEX SCHOOLS CHRISTMAS VOCAL MUSIC SHOWCASE MONDAY, DECEMBER 9TH AT 2PM AND 7PM ALEX HIGH SCHOOL GYMNASIUM We will present a “Christmas at the Movies” vocal music concert! All students have worked hard for this for weeks. Please make it urgent that your child attend both performances! Please remember that for our 5th-8th grade choir, these two performances comprise the majority of their class grades, as it is all that we work toward during our class days. The 2 pm concert is an informal dress rehearsal that is open to those who may want to watch. The 7 pm performance is our formal performance. For the 2:00, your child does not have to wear anything special, it is informal. For the 7:00 -- please wear red and green festive church-style dress. If you want to go more for a formal, red-carpet movie star vibe, that would be highly encouraged, but don’t go out of your way to buy anything. For all, PLEASE NO HATS, HEADGEAR, ANTENNAS, ETC., so that singers behind you are not blocked from view by their families. JH/HS mixed choir, please wear very nice Sunday-style dress, red and green colors are preferred. PLEASE NOTE: AT BOTH PRINCIPAL’S REQUEST, SCHOOL DOORS WILL NOT BE UNLOCKED UNTIL 6:40. Our teachers need time to prepare for the evening and we want the holding sections to be staffed with a teacher and not unattended. When the doors open, drop your child in their holding section in the gym, go to your seat, and enjoy the show! We are looking forward to a great night! See you then!

Good morning from APS: buses will delay leaving the school to allow the weather to pass over. They plan to leave the school around 7:30 putting pick ups approximately an hour later. The buildings will be open at normal time for anyone who needs to drop off their students. The gym will be open for a storm shelter if needed. Thank you and stay weather aware.

Good evening! We are currently monitoring the weather and are aware of the possibility of severe weather during our Monday morning bus routes. We are taking into consideration a possible late start for in the morning. If there is a change we will communicate through Facebook, app notification and text message. There will not be a communication if there are no changes to our school day.
