Well....we made it! It is officially summer break. We know the kids are excited and hopefully the parents are too. We will host summer program again this year for students who are going into 1st grade through 8th grade next school year. We know there have been some questions, so see below for more information! We will send out reminders closer to the beginning of the first week. If you asked about transportation someone will reach out to you by early June. If your children live in town, we do not run routes in town. They must be eligible for a regular bus route. I
Summer Program Information
After a long school year, we are looking forward to having all of our campers with us this summer. This will be the fifth summer we have held the summer program and we hope that this one is the best yet. Below you will find information pertaining to our daily schedule regarding Summer Camp, specifically about busing, meals and field trips.
Buses Will Run: 7:45 a.m.
Doors Open/Breakfast: 8:30 a.m.
Camp Start Time: 9:00 a.m.
Lunch: 11:40 a.m.
Camp End Time: 12:00 p.m.
Daily Activities: Our daily activities will consist of ALL things fun. We have several fun events planned throughout the program that will allow us to keep the fun right here at school. We plan to bring back some of our favorite events, while adding new ones. In the event that we change our schedule, we will notify all parents or guardians through electronic communication or memorandum.
Meals: Our kitchen staff will again be working on preparing meals for both breakfast and lunch during the summer program. Your student does not have to arrive early to eat or stay late, it is completely optional, but we want to ensure that they have something in their bellies.
Busing: We will be running two bus routes this summer. If you have requested assistance with transportation, we have worked you in and plan on getting your student to and from the program. Parents may pick their student up at any time after notifying a staff member.
Field Trips: There are a couple of field trips planned for the summer, which we will release prior to the week before it is scheduled to happen. We will send releases home prior to each field trip. Parents must return signed forms to staff prior to their child being allowed to participate on field trips. Parents are not allowed to ride in school vehicles or buses, however, if you notify us of your interest in going, we will compile a list and include you in our numbers for each event.
We look forward to having an awesome summer with all of your kids. If you have questions, please contact Mrs. Loggins or Mr. Doty.
