WHAT A GREAT WAY TO END THE YEAR! Upon hearing news of the choir of the day trophy, our Mixed Choir learned today that they were also one of two choirs to win the Choir of the Week trophy! This means that out of 6 choirs per day for two weeks, your Alex Mixed Choir was one of the top two Choirs in the entire two-week long contest! With it being the last day of school, not all are pictured here, but what a wonderful year for these Longhorn Musicians! Congratulations and good job, Choir!

Students should have turned in all library books and technology by the end of the week. Any items checked out by your child and not returned, will need to be found or paid for. Thank you for helping us find the missing items!

It's ALMOST HERE; the last day of school is drawing near. We have had a fantastic year with our Longhorns. Just a quick reminder that Friday, May 10th is an early release day. Elementary car line will begin at 2:10, MS/HS students will be dismissed at 2:20 to load buses. Buses will leave the HS at 2:25 to pick up the elementary students. We hope you have a great summer!

This group just found out today that they won the competition trophy for last week's contest! This means that they placed ahead of all other much larger schools that they competed with that day! They were awarded all straight superior ratings and brought home a trophy for those ratings, which qualified them to be in the running for overall choir of the day. This is quite an accomplishment and we are so proud of the hard work this group has put in this year. It has definitely paid off! Great job, Horns!

Thank you First National Bank of Alex for making lunch for our amazing teachers at APS! It's Teacher Appreciation Week and we have the best!

Our mini senior conference was great. Our students had sessions on stresses after high school (mental health), housing/renting mortgage info, insurance, banking, and car maintenance. We are thankful for our Alex alumni who gave our seniors great information that they don't always know they need. Thank you KK's pantry and Mrs. Loggins for providing lunch to our seniors.

The HS Sports Banquet Scheduled for Monday May 6th has been moved to Thursday, May 9th at 6:00 pm due to concerns of inclement weather this evening.

Alex FFA members competed at the Oklahoma FFA State Interscholastic contest this weekend in Stillwater. The second day of the State Track Meet results: Jacob Compton placed 15th in pole vault, Dustin James placed 8th in pole vault, Girls 4x400 relay place 10th. Great season for the Alex Longhorn Track program. We continue to grow in numbers and success and we are proud of the work put in by the athletes. I also thank everyone that supported us and helped us this season. It means a lot of the kids and adults to see this. Go Longhorns.
